Dogs and puppies have a tendency to chew on things, some may find this as a bad habit but it is natural and considered as an essential fact to judge whether the pet is healthy or not.Since dogs obviously do not have the concept of distinguishing between valuable articles hence it must be trained. this would be the right way to teach the dog about what to chew and what not to avoid any problem. the puppies may not able to stop chew due to many reasons.
in order to avoid the discomfort caused due to teething the puppies will tend to keep chewing something from 3 to 7 months of age. this is mainly due to the reason that they loose their teeth and the adult teeth start growing. providing the toy for chewing is suggested for the puppies. with an interest of exploring and finding about the object the dogs and puppies has the habit of chewing expensive items or furniture at home. the puppies must be provided with more toys for chewing in order to avoid this problem.If it doesn't like its toy it will definitely chew on other stuffs that are available.
the dogs has the habit of entertaining themselves by chewing something they get if they are left along for a long time and get bored of. in order to stop this habit of theirs they must be always engaged with some exercises and keep them mentally and physically engaged so that this habit can be reduced in them.
in order to prevent them from this habit of chewing any thing they get, they must be properly trained and particularly teach about obedience. this habit can be encouraged in them by rewarding the puppies when they chew any thing that they are actually supposed to chew.if sufficient time is spent with the dogs then they may try to stop or reduce their habit of chewing lot. this will create an impression in dogs that you are happy to see the dog chewing they own toys and not other things.
but some times it is not possible to prevent the dogs from chewing on other things and hide it from them and there are some sprays are also available in the market and also spray on the places they bite.
There is one more simple solution, when the dog is supposed to remain inside the house without anyone; it should be kept in a confined area that has nothing dangerous to chew on. it is also important to leave them with many toys so that they will be busy with them. it should be noticed that the dogs will not get it to the habit again.
